At the heart of the design is Pathway To Healing, the official Indigenous artwork of the Wollongong Mustangs. It was created by proud Yuin and Gunaikurnai women and respected Elders Aunty Lorraine Brown and Aunty Narelle Thomas, in partnership with The Healthy Communities Foundation Australia.
Pathway To Healing tells the story of the journey every Mustang takes, through challenge and growth to connection, resilience and belonging. It speaks to the people who support us, the conversations that shape us, and the community that carries us forward.
It reminds us that football is about more than what happens on the field. It's about looking after each other, learning together, and knowing your club always has your back.
Aunty Lorraine, Aunty Narelle and The Healthy Communities Foundation Australia, thank you for trusting us with your art and your story. We will carry it with pride every time we take the field.
