🏈 Mustang Pride Comes Home Saturday 8 November!

It is Homecoming and Old Boys Day, and the only chance this year to see your Wollongong Mustangs on home turf. The action kicks off with our talented U15 Flag squad showcasing fast, fearless football before the Colts Division takes the field in the feature match. The Colts are in red hot form, crushing the competition leaders in their last two games and bringing serious heat to the gridiron. With no mens team this season, the spotlight is on the future of the club. Come down, wear your colours, and be part of the roar as we celebrate the spirit, history, and pride of the Mustangs.

UNDER 15's FLAG

  • The Under 15 Flag Mustangs are the future of Wollongong football, representing the club in the inaugural mixed competition of tomorrow’s stars. This talented young squad plays with confidence, class, and skill well beyond their years. They have proven to be strong competitors and fan favourites, showcasing exciting football every time they take the field. The team will play two action packed games on the day, setting the tone for an unforgettable celebration of Mustang pride.

OLD BOYS DAY

The Mustang Old Boys are the foundation of Wollongong gridiron , the men who paved the way, wore the jersey with pride, and built the legacy that drives every snap we take today. Since 1991, they have carried the Mustang spirit onto the field with toughness, heart, and brotherhood. This season, with no mens team taking the turf, Old Boys Day means more than ever. It is a celebration of every tackle, touchdown, and triumph that shaped this club. We are calling on all past players, coaches, and supporters to come home, stand tall on the sideline, and be honoured for the Mustang legacy you helped create. Once a Mustang, always a Mustang

mAIN GAME - COLTS DIVISION

The Mustang Colts are the pride of Wollongong gridiron and the next generation carrying the Mustang legacy forward. After making the playoffs last season, this determined squad has built real momentum through relentless hard work, unity, and Mustang spirit. Every drive, every tackle, and every touchdown reflects their commitment to the game and each other. Guided by passionate coaches and powered by a strong team culture, the Colts are playing explosive football that shows true Mustang heart. This is a team on the rise and a force that represents the future of Wollongong gridiron.

kB1# MEMORIAL GAME

The Kuan Brown Memorial Shield is played between the two clubs Kuan belonged to , the Mustang Brumbies and the UTS Gator Colts. These efforts are a testament to Kuan's character as player and team mate. His energy and positivity were infectious, and his dedication unmatched. He always had a smile on his face when he was at the field, and he encouraged and supported everyone- players and coaches alike to be their best.Kuan trained with the Mustangs in 2019 when he was just 15 and went on to play as Quarterback for the Colts team in 2020. He then joined the UTS Gators for the 2021and 2022 seasons, when the Mustangs were unable to field a Colts team, but he continued to train with them and maintained close friendships with many of the Mustangs family. When he passed away, his two clubs introduced the Kuan Brown Memorial Shield. This is played between the Mustangs Brumbies and the UTS Gators Colts teams every time they meet each other each season, in memory of their teammate. Mustangs Brumbies were the proud winners for the 2024 season.
Kuan’s parents have established the KB1 Foundation, a charity dedicated to supporting junior sports and the passion that Kuan lived for. This Homecoming will see our teams wear orange and black socks in honour of the foundation and the importance of the game we all love. While the Mustang colours will be out in force, the field will also shine with orange and black as we celebrate Kuan’s legacy and his belief that everyone deserves to play. Please join the Mustang family in supporting the KB1 Foundation and the spirit it represents.
