Are you ready to run, catch, and compete like a Mustang? The Wollongong Mustangs are proud to open Expressions of Interest for our 15’s & Under Flag Football teams,for both boys and girls and we want YOU to be part of the action! Flag football is a non-contact version of American football that focuses on speed, agility, and skill. Players wear flags instead of tackling, making it perfect for players of all experience levels, including those crossing over from other sports

CLUB ANNOUNCEMENT: Boys & Girls 15 & Under Flag Teams Confirmed entry for the 2025 Season

Off the back of an incredible turnout and talent on display at Come Train With Us and the Wollongong Gridiron Academy, the Mustangs have seen an exciting wave of junior potential that we simply can't ignore.
We’re thrilled to officially announce that the club will be fielding both a boys and a girls junior 15s Flag Football team in the upcoming 2025 season kicking off this September! We’re looking for players aged 12 to 15 years old (must be born in 2010 or younger). All skill levels welcome no prior experience required!
Expressions of Interest will only be open for a short time, followed by a player/parent information session and a combine day to kick things off. More details to come , but don’t miss your chance to be part of something special.

FLAG FOOTBALL DEBUTES IN 2028 WILL YOU BE THERE ?

Flag Football is making its Olympic debut at the Los Angeles 2028 Games, and we want the South Coast represented on the world stage.If you’re already playing Touch Football, League Tag, or OzTag, your skills are tailor-made for this sport. Speed, agility, evasion, communication, all those abilities are directly transferable to flag football. With commitment and coaching, the path from the Illawarra to the Olympic Games is real.This is your chance to follow in the footsteps of the brilliant South Coast Olympians who came before you and make your mark in one of the world’s fastest-growing sports.Start local.
