Playing for the Mustangs has been fantastic, you feel welcomed and supported. Much like the sport of Gridiron with everybody having a role, that is very much encouraged by the club. Whatever you want to do to support the club you are always encouraged. From the players to the coaches, to the volunteers and supporters, it is one big family. Being a minority sport, in a sport-loving town we need to be and are close-knit. Having said that new people are always welcome.

For the 2023 season I played for the Mustangs and it was one of the best experiences of my life. From the moment I landed in Australia I felt welcomed and apart of the team. Everyone taught me about the culture and made sure I felt involved. I watched people who had never played football before improve ten-fold not only from coaching but everyone chipped in and helped with their own tips and tricks. Even though we came up about 5 seconds short I learned that playing for the Mustangs is more than just playing for a team, it’s a family. The brotherhood I found here lasts a lifetime”-
